Owned and created by Kirsten Theriault, the company was born in 2019 while she was pregnant and on bed rest. The name of the company is named after a little side hustle Kirsten had in high school called "Willow Art," where she painted calligraphy on wooden signs, and a hint towards the pregnancy with her daughter (named Holland) during which she started the company
